Cassandra Monique Batie is a singer, songwriter, and actor from the United States. She is a specialist in R&B & soul. The singer has received many awards, such as the Grammy Award a Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award along with nomination for an Academy Award. Andra Day, a talented artist and songwriter, with a strong background in blues and gospel music with a love of the contemporary world, is not just an R&B throwback master. Her ability to combine her jazz influences with gospel and blues in the R&B genre is impressive. Stand Up for Something, her 2017 contribution to Marshall's score for the film Marshall received the Academy Award as well as a Grammy. Amen (2018) Make Your Troubles (2020), and her Golden Globe award-winning performance Billie Holiday, in The United States against Billie Holiday(2021) have continued to raise expectations for her second album. Born Cassandra Monique Batie in Edmonds Washington Andra Day, she grew up living in San Diego and its metropolitan region where she sang in churches and attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts. Her focus changed on contemporary R&B to pop after graduating however, she was eventually drawn back towards the soul and jazz artists she listened to in her youth. Kai Millard Morris, who was able to catch a live performance of Day and brought her songs to Stevie Wonder's husband, was the major success. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz connected Day and the veteran music businessman. Day has been signed to Warner Bros. after gaining the attention of a huge YouTube fan base with Gurvitz as well as Jeffrey Evans Buskin. It was quickly taken up by DJs, who started broadcasting it to the radio. In 2015, after signing with Warner Bros. Records she began working on her debut record Cheers To The Fall featuring Adrian Gurvitz. It included Rise Up, which has become an international anthem of social justice movements. Day was awarded two Grammy nominations for the categories for Best R&B Album for her album. The album was released The United States Vs. Billie Holiday in 2019, an album that explores the life and work of the jazz icon Billie Holiday. The following year she appeared as a character in The United States Vs. Billie Holiday (2020), a biopic of Holiday's career. Andi Mattichak was an American actor. She first appeared in television shows like 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods prior to making her feature film debut as Allyson Nelson in the horror movie series Halloween and its sequels. Andi Mattichak was born on May 3, 1994 in Framingham Mass.
