Pickler grew up in a difficult environment. When she was two she left her mother's unfaithful relationship. In 1995, she was returned back to the world of Pickler, and took the custody rights. The situation did not go well. Pickler went back to her grandparents when she turned twelve years old. The grandparents helped her through to adulthood. In the absence of their parents Pickler was too busy caring for her siblings. She stated that her time was not enough and that she had to learn how to care for the family from a very young time. Pickler was an athlete in the middle and high school. She graduated in 2004 at North Stanly High School. Pickler has also been a contestant for a beauty pageant. She is an American actor and won an Oscar for the film A Beautiful Mind. In 1984, she debuted in the film Once Upon a Time in America. She began her modelling career very early. After working in the field of professional modeling for some time, she made the decision to pursue acting. She starred in many films, including the horror film Phenomena as well as the musical Labyrinth; the romantic comedy Career Opportunities as well as the super-hero time-based film The Rocketeer.
